Answer 1 :
There are 7 year medical program at participating state nj colleges. If you did a typical medical program, 4 years of undergraduate, 4 year of medical school and then 5 years to intern and specialize in ob-gyn
Answer 2 :
In my opinion, there are only two great undergraduate colleges in NJ -- Princeton and Rutgers. The College of NJ is a decent regional school -- as are Stevens Institute and NJIT. I am not of the opinion tha tany of the other schools in NJ are worth going to. None of these colleges have a medical school. There are two medical schools in NJ -- University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. US News does not rank eithe rschool -- which means you would be better off going to Medical School in a different state. Typically, to become a doctor in any field you need four years to get a BS, four more years of medical school to get an MD and then at least three years as an intern and resident to become be a specialist. Some specialties take longer.
Answer 3 :
4 years of undergrad 4 years of med school 3-5 years of residency OBGYN is a great job. The hours varies depending on your location and expertise. Just be aware that in the beginning your hours will be very high, around 80 hours. http://www.pre-med.info
