Which one would you rather go to and why? Which one is better in terms of academics? I tried looking at the college of New Jersey's website but I couldn't find the incoming freshmens GPA...

I would say at least a 3.6-3.7 GPA to get into The College Of New Jersey. NYU has a much more reputible reputation and it is better in terms of academics. It is also harder to get into.
