Answer 1 :
Arguably the best college in New Jersey is "The College of New Jersey" in Ewing. I went to Rutgers and was very happy. But if you are looking for a conservatory, check out Westminster College of the Arts, http://www.rider.edu/284.htm it's part of Rider University and located in Princeton, NJ. It has a very excellent music program. edit: I stand corrected, as I was not clear in my explaination, that TCNJ is arguably the best public college in NJ (the assumption that an affordable school would be preferred is based on the askers suggestion of NJCU).
Answer 2 :
While The College of New Jersey is a very good school, I wouldn't call it the best college in New Jersey. Princeton U gives you the best undergraduate education in the whole US, possibly the world.
Answer 3 :
Princeton, one of the best universities in the world.
Answer 4 :
Mason Gross School of the Arts is part of Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Westminster Choir College is part of Rider University and is located in Princeton. William Paterson University has an excellent music department and it is located in Wayne.
