Should I go to the College of New Jersey or to the Honors Program at Saint Joseph's University in Philly

Should I go to the College of New Jersey or to the Honors Program at Saint Joseph's University in Philly?
I'm really stuck between both, and I don't know what would carry more prestige, graduating from TCNJ or SJU-Honors?

Answer 1 :
Nothing from NJ carries prestige
Answer 2 :
Honestly, I believe if you work hard, that won't matter. Just do what you think is best, don't worry so much about what looks good.
Answer 3 :
no
Answer 4 :
Go where you feel comfortable, not where you think it's more prestigious. That's pretty pompous. TCNJ is nice, but parties are limited from what I hear. and St. Joe's is in the ghetto. But in the end everyone enjoys college.... but pick the one you like better.
Answer 5 :
Saint Joe's is a better school You were accepted into their honors program You wouldn't have to drink New Jersey water You wouldn't have to live in New Jersey You'd live minutes away from a big city How is this decision not making itself? TCNJ carries zero prestige. Admittedly, SJU isn't exactly Ivy material but it's better than TCNJ and it will offer you more opportunities as a graduate. It just looks better.

What would you say the social aspects of Ramapo College of New Jersey are?

Answer 1 :
i graduated from Ramapo a few years ago and i loved it! i was part of the greek system so that definitely added to the good times!! it's a beautiful campus and it's pretty close to the city.
Answer 2 :
Until the past few years, it was always the local college you went to when you couldn't get in anywhere else. This has changed drastically, and partly because a lot of international students have come there and done very well. Now I hear it has quite a good rep. So, you'd probably meet a diverse group of people. It's in a great area--semi-rural (but suburban really) and only about 35 miles from Manhattan. So you've got the city if you go in one direction and upstate New York country if you go in the other. Everything is nearby. In spite of all the jokes and misrepresentation, New Jersey is a great place. Geographically you've got everything--mountains, ocean, woods, all within a short haul, and socially you have the diversity, including every type of food you could ever want. Also, we have good public transportation systems. The towns around Ramapo are pretty affluent, too, and it's also safe crime-wise. There's even a horse farm across the street!

Are full time New Jersey college students exempt from jury duty

Are full time New Jersey college students exempt from jury duty?
I am currently a full time college student. My jury duty falls right in the beginning of the spring semester. Am I excused from jury duty?

Answer 1 :
NO. You'll still have to go and you can explain that you have school and they may excuse you, but they probably won't. Just tell them you have a problem with cops or with lawyers and they'll excuse you.
Answer 2 :
You have to show up at the courthouse and tell the court clerk your situation. She will advise the judge and it is up to him to excuse you. It's possible you'll have to spend several hours.
Answer 3 :
Government jobs and School are exemptions from jury duty in some states... you may want to call and find out.
Answer 4 :
Usually they have you fill out a form which states that you are afull-time student. They may ask for proof, like an offical schedule, but generally, no you do not have to appear.
Answer 5 :
no
Answer 6 :
I'm not sure about New Jersey, but in Connecticut, it is possible to fill out a form when you get your jury duty notice that, in effect, enables you to postpone and possibly even set up a period of time when you could serve. For example summer time, spring break, or between semesters break in January.
Answer 7 :
No.

what is the minimum gpa required to get into any new jersey college?

Answer 1 :
Your question is not completely clear. If you are asking how good it has to be to get into at least one college in NJ -- then the answer is that you just have to graduate from high school. Some college will take you. But if you are asking how good it has to be so that you can get into any college in NJ that you want -- then the answer is different. In order to get into Princeton, for example, you need a 3.8 unweighted GPA, 2200 SAT scores, lots of AP and honors classes and a great admission essay.
