Should i stay in New Jersey or go to Florida for college

Should i stay in New Jersey or go to Florida for college?
I'd like to major in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS). Im currently living in Passaic, New Jersey where i"ve lived my entire life. My father lives in florida. The plan is to move down there in august, work until the spring semester and begin my pre reqs at Valencia Community College. or possibly Broward Community College. I really don't know which college has a better program but what i do know is that Orlando (which is where Valencia is) has way cheaper apartments. But now im stressed because the program only admits 12 people out of 80 or 90. I really don't know what my chances are but I willing to take the risk and experience a new place, meet new people and grow and mature. My alternative college in New jersey is Bergen Commmunity college. If anyone can tell me about the DMS program at Bergen, i'd appreciate the help. and the other colleges as well.

Answer 1 :
If you can live and work in Florida for long enough to qualify as an in-state student, you'll find that the community colleges in FL are cheaper for you than those in NJ would be, even as a NJ resident. So one thing you may want to check right now, by emailing the colleges in FL, is how long you need to live and work down there to qualify for in-state tuition, if that's of interest to you. One good thing is that there are a ton of accredited DMS programs in FL, and many times, the pre-reqs are the same or similar. So if you did the pre-reqs at Valencia, and decided to apply to the program at Valancia *and* at Broward and elsewhere, to give you more chances to get in, you could probably do that. Accredited programs can be found here: http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited-Program/
Answer 2 :
There are many online web-sites that offer you a list of colleges and universities, but most of them are paid. Here is one web-site that offer you to browse schools around the world for totally free . Just complete their questions and they will accept you. Enter: http://EducationFindr.com I hope that helps

You might be able to get into Rutgers; it's a good school.
Answer 2 :
first thing you need to do is research in the websites where they give campus tours and go to them.. they will show you the whole campus... you have a pretty good GPA, so you will have no trouble getting into any school..

I live in new jersey right now. If I moved to Nevada into an apt then signed up for college, would i be paying the resident tuition or the non-resident tuition?? How does someone become a resident?

The College of New Jersey

The College of New Jersey?
Are you currently attending, know someone attending, or already attended the College of New Jersey? I'm thinking about applying and I'd love to ask a few questions about the college. Did you take any AP courses in High school? Any athletics in High School? How many years of volunteering did you complete? I'm a freshman in high school and I really want to attend the College of New Jersey. I get decent grades (B's in all my Honors classes), and am part of the Newspaper club and Human Rights Activists club. I am joining the volleyball team next year, but have not done any community service yet. Am I TCNJ material?

I have a few friends in TCNJ and I am fairly certain you can make it in easily. Of course, it also depends on which school you are planning on applying to. I'll give you a general breakdown of each person I know who is there now: person one - no AP classes, majoring in graphic design, four years of art electives person two - all AP/Honors, photo editor of school newspaper, editor for literary magazine, majoring in chemistry person three - at least a few AP/Honors, played clarinet and tenor sax all throughout hs, fairly lazy (haha), majoring in engineering management hope this helps. (:
